Dr Daniel Petzke (He/Him)

Daniel graduated from medicine at Deakin University in 2017 before interning in Barwon Health in Geelong, then working as a resident for several years at Eastern Health in Melbourne. He began his GP specialist training in 2022 and is due to complete it in 2024.

 

Daniel is passionate about preventative health and chronic disease management. He is currently undertaking an academic research project into chronic kidney disease detection and management in primary care.

 

He is also interested in sexual and reproductive health, having undertaken additional training in medical termination of pregnancy and Implanon insertion and removal, and children’s health, having completed the Sydney Child Health Program in 2022.

 

Daniel is currently undertaking an academic registrar term at the University of Melbourne Department of General Practice where he teaches medical students in addition to his research work.

 

When not at work, Daniel enjoys hiking, tending to his vegetable garden and going to live music gigs.
