Mark graduated from Monash University in 1986. He obtained his fellowship in General Practice in 1993 and a Certificate of Civil Aviation Medicine from Monash University in 2000. He has worked in a variety of General Practices, community health centres, hospitals, and private clinics throughout Melbourne. He is married with twins in their 20s.
Having worked, lived and raised his children (who went to St John’s Primary school down the road) in Fitzroy for 35 years, Mark has an intimate knowledge of the community and health services in our area.
He has an interest in the health of health care professionals having worked St Vincent’s Hospital Staff Clinic (13 years) and The Austin Staff Clinic (7 years). Having spent 10 years in the Epworth Health check, Mark has an interest in preventative medicine.
Outside of medicine, he is a keen runner, having run 10 marathons, two ultra-marathons, numerous 1/2 marathons, 10ks and others. He enjoys being part of the inner-city community, and is a keen participant in the local coffee culture.
