Dr Michael Gurr (He/Him)

Michael graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2015. He initially worked in public mental health within a long-term support team, crisis team (CATT), and a dialectical behaviour therapy program. In 2018 he commenced in private practice and in 2021 Michael left public mental health, while continuing in private practice, and moved to a public hospital where he has been working with patients experiencing chronic pain and general health difficulties.

 

Michael is passionate about helping people recover from their psychological difficulties and being able to live their lives to the fullest.  Michael is also very interested in ongoing improvement as a psychologist and offering high quality care. He has undergone extensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy.

 

Michael is currently available at The Crane General Practice for bookings on Monday mornings.
