Insertion/ removal of intrauterine device (Mirena IUD), insertion/ removal of contraceptive implant (Implanon), Medical termination of pregnancy (MTOP) provider.

Lauren is originally from Sydney but has spent her medical training and career in Western Australia. She has recently moved to Melbourne, which has been a long-term goal. Lauren completed her medical training at the University of Western Australia, followed by work at Fremantle, Bunbury and Broome hospitals, before moving into General Practice. Since then, she has divided her time between the city and the country, working in private general practice in the Fremantle area, Headspace Fremantle and Headspace Broome, in the physical health “Wellness clinic” based at the Fremantle Hospital Mental Health unit, working for the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services across remote communities in Bidyadanga and the Dampier Peninsula, and working as the Kimberley Renal GP based at the Broome Dialysis Unit.

 

Lauren enjoys working with people of all ages and health concerns, she has a particular interest in the areas of mental health, sexual health, and chronic disease management. She is trained to insert and remove intrauterine devices and contraceptive implants and is a registered provider of Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTOP).

 

Lauren enjoys spending her time with her 2 dogs, and loves the beach, good food and coffee.
